I made my first Dolls House over 20 years ago. Having 3 sons meant I was always surrounded by cars, trains & action figures. Building my first house took over 2 years & was safely stored in my bedroom.
I wanted to make another one but due to lack of space I started to make miniatures in boxes for family presents. This is where Shadow Boxes began. I try to make most of the miniatures from scraps and odds ‘n’ ends.
I have also enjoyed trying my hand at Pyrography but my newest passion is Wood Turning.
Being able to make my own miniatures in wood is very satisfying. Starting out with a Unimat mini lathe to a pen turning lathe, I have just upgraded to a much larger heavy duty lathe. This allows me to still turn miniatures but also larger items.
My love of working with wood from scraps for miniatures, wood slices for pyrography to wooden branches for turned fruit.
I love the beauty in the nature of the wood.
Tina is still able to trade and post work at the moment.
