My name is Annie Rowcraft and I was born in Norfolk around 60 years ago.  I moved with my husband and three children to the West Country in the 1970s and began working part time for a friend who owned an art gallery and also taught watercolour painting.  This ‘whetted’ my appetite so to speak, and so my love of painting began.  I gradually moved into oil paint and then to acrylic.  

Flowers and colour, especially poppies, really inspire me.  Coming from Norfolk with big open elements, now living in Gloucestershire, with both the Forest of Dean and the Cotswolds on our doorstep, my work has encompassed my surroundings.
